On Monday, 16 October, Film Fest Gent and JEF invite you to an inspiration day entirely dedicated to media education. This day offers you the opportunity to gain knowledge and good practices for creatively using film in education, with a focus on enhancing media and film-related skills in your students. Register below. (Sessions are held in Dutch)

Film screening And the King Said, What a Fantastic Machine: Discover how the camera has influenced society since its invention in this fascinating documentary, featuring remarkable visuals rather than words.

Sessions (13:00 - 15:30)

Incorporating Media & Archival Material into Teaching - Learn how to use authentic audiovisual materials in the classroom for engaging lessons.
Cross-disciplinary Film & Media Literacy Projects - Learn how film can be used across subjects to promote citizenship.
Active Film Projects - Explore how teachers and students collaborate on creative film projects.

Afterwards, each participant will receive a digital information package with additional tips and a certificate of participation. Don't miss this opportunity to inspire yourself and enrich your teaching with film! Participation is 20 euros per person, including lunch.
