Portrait of a Young Man (In Three Movements) is an unjustly forgotten avant-garde masterpiece, reminiscent of the work of such great experimental filmmakers as Maya Deren and Paul Clipson. This three-part visual symphony received a soundtrack exclusively for VIDEODROOM, composed by Canadian sound artist Sarah Davachi.
Filmmaker Henwar Rodakiewicz created a portrait of a young man with three passions: the tide, machines and sunlight. This meditative study of movement was accompanied by a live soundtrack by the Canadian sound artist Sarah Davachi. Opening the evening was the dreamy experimental animation Parallel Spheres & Figures in Mynd by Gabriel González Rondon, which was set to the tones of electro legend Hieroglyphic Being.
