School screenings
Would you like to come to Film Fest Ghent with your class or school? Well, you can. Every festival edition includes an exciting series of school screenings. Children of all ages from kindergarten to secondary can ignite their passion for film with screenings that have added educational value. Each film will be given an enthusiastic introduction by a presenter and will be followed by stimulating activities that respond to the film. For each screening Film Fest Ghent will provide a convenient course map to help students prepare and to facilitate their discussion afterwards.
Teacher day
Every year, in collaboration with JEF, Film Fest Ghent organises a day full of inspiration for teachers. During workshops and talks, participants are provided with concrete tools to engage creatively with image and film material in the classroom and are encouraged to exchange methodologies.
Generations On Tour
Intergenerational film café GENERATIONS aims to bring the world of young and old closer together. First, youngsters in high school and people over 65 go to a film screening together. Then, they get to know each other in our Film Fest Café, where they discuss the film and its themes in depth.
A collaboration between Sphinx Cinema, Film Fest Gent & Stad Gent.
