Bíódagar (Movie Days)

In the early 60's going to the movies was a social event. The movie houses were another world and while families dressed up for the social occasion of a nine o I doek show, the children's Sunday matinée has something of the atmosphere of a savage festival. Thomas is an urban boy and the world he is growing up in is not quite the rural world the father grew up in. Nor is it the amazing world he encounters in the cinema. For Thomas, his coming of age takes place in the strange confluence of these worlds. Thomas decides to learn about his country roots and sets off to stay on a farm with old Toni. It is here that the old and new come into direct conflict.
