Dorotea is a young girl who is taking care of her Italian grandmother with whom she lives. She visits a man who has been released from prison. He is starved-looking and begging in the street. He turns out to be her father. She wants to restore the contact between him and her grandmother. A story about relations, poverty, loneliness and the lack of communication and about how people deal with growing old.
