You'll never forget the first time you saw The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. For half a century now, the horror classic has been creating a chain of frightened, indelible impressions worldwide. Chain Reactions puts five admiring witnesses in front of the camera: comedian Patton Oswalt, film critic Alexandra Heller-Nicholas, writer Stephen King, and filmmakers Takashi Miike and Karyn Kusama. Taking turns and sparking numerous associations, interpretations and fan theories, they dig into their vivid (childhood) memories and reflect on the lasting influence of director Tobe Hooper's iconic nightmare. After homages to Psycho, The Exorcist and Alien (among others), Alexandre O. Philippe returns to FFG for the seventh time and puts his (saw) teeth in a salient piece of film history.
