Sunday. Such is the whole content of the letter Mr. Peony has just got from the hands of Mrs. Malkova. This is the sign for the protagonists of the film to prepare for an extreme and very individual experience of pleasure. Peony sews bat wings and makes a figurine looking like his lodger Mrs. Lualova. The latter elaborates a doll bearing the effigy of Peony. Mrs. Malkova kneads bread crumb balls and commissioner Beltinsky sticks various objects on pan lids in his secret workshop. His wife, the beautiful newsreader Beltinska, buys two live carps to put in a tub. Mr. Kula, the newspaper seller who is in love with the TV-picture of Beltinska, builds a device in which the TV screen is a kind of psycho-erotic centre. And Sunday approaches...
