The last part of a documentary trilogy which began in 1968 with “They Call Us Misfits” and continued with “A Respectable Life” in 1979. In this film Stefan Jarl sums up the past. He returns to the surviving “Mods”, Kenta and Eve, who move to Blekinge to start again. He calls on their children, Patrick and Carina, who with their background ought to be doomed from the start, although they seem to be doing alright. The social democratic society, the safety net, has treated these children well. They have turned into another materialistic generation, whose security is conformity and who believes that happiness equals money.
