In 1969, Twentieth Century Fox released this 90 minutes impression of the flight of Apollo 11. It was assembled from footage that was brought by the three astronauts, commented by Dr. Wernher von Braun and musical background was added. In spite of the fact that the images are very granular sometimes and that the comments are not always relevant, this film is interesting as a curiosity and as a document of time. The film was made immediately after the events, the euphoria must have been enormous. This film illustrates the view of Hollywood of the audience and how a commercial company such as Fox added to the image of NASA and the defense of the expensive Apollo program.
