Forrest Gump is a man in his 30s, yet his words and actions are awkward - like a child's. Wearing a rumpled suit, worn-down running shoes and carrying an aged leather suitcase full of treasures, he happily shares tales of his extraordinary life with a host of passers-by. Tom Hanks stars as Forrest Gump, a slow-witted innocent with a generous heart and a confounded ability to find himself in some of the most remarkable events in US history, beginning with his childhood in the l 950s.
