Hoogste tijd (The Last Call)

Willem Bouwmeester, a 78- year-old revue artist, is asked to play the leading part in a play one more time. Although the part is more than he can chew, he is too vain to refuse. To everybody's surprise, however, Willem tums out to have talents no one ever suspected. But the play's premiere does not take place. Another disaster in Willem Bouwmeester’s life occurs... "The Last Call" tells the story of life, the opportunities it offers and how one can loose them. The film has been made after Harry Mulisch's novel of the same name.
