Written over a weekend (the director claims) the story of this film is about Henri, played by Truffaut protégé Jean-Pierre Léaud, who decides to kill himself when made redundant from his 15-year job. He discovers, however, that suïcide is not easy. so he hires a cancer-ridden contract killer, Harry, to help. As soon as the contract is signed, things begin to look up: he meets a flower-seller and falls in love. Hemi's only problem now is stopping the killer. (Moving Pictures Int 11.10.90)
