D.A. Pennebaker's Sweet Toronto, a movie about the Toronto Rock Revival of 1969, concentrates entirely on performers and performances, unlike his earlier Don't Look Back and Monterey Pop. It features some of the biggest names of early rock, including Diddley, Berry, Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis, and ends with a look at the possible future in the form of John Lennon and Yoko Ono. This documentary is likely to become a keystone film in the current rock 'n roll revival.
