Jean-Baptiste is a TV producer preparing for the onset of his 40th birthday. One day he decides not to go in to work and not having anything else particularly important to do, he begins to daydream about his past love affairs, his youth, and his failed marriage. While out and about, going through the mundane, he runs into his ex-wife Louise by chance. It's through his encounter with Louise that enables him to realize that he can let go of the pressures of the women in his past and embrace the woman in his present, his girlfriend Carole.
