Lolo is a searing portrait of the life of an alienated outcast in Mexico City's slums.
After being beaten up by a gang, Lolo loses his job in a factory -an event that unleashes a spiral of violence as the young man loses his sense of right and wrong, and culminates in the murder of an elderly neighbour. Fearing capture, Lolo lets the man who saves him from the law take the rap for the murder; and, after being threatened by local thugs, Lolo and his girlfriend escape. However, they are haunted by guilt and shame.
