Majdhar

Majdhar is a docudrama about Fauzia, a young Asian woman who Is abandoned by her husband soon after her arrival In Londen from Pakistan. lt is her separation from her husband which frees her from the traditional responsibilities of an Aslan woman and the domination of men. Though she is economically secure, Fauzla has to struggle for a sense of emotional independence. The film docu­ments the relationships she forms across social, cultural and religious barriers and the events and experiences which shape her personality.
