Max & Laura & Henk & Willie

What are we, anno 1989, to do with problems in our relationships? How can we find out whether what we mean is not misunderstood by the other? Max and Laura and Henk and Willie each have their proper modern way of handling this: they simply no longer deal with them as such problems are outdated. But in the meantime, there is enough secret tension, hope, fear and ambition for a lighthearted "comédie de moeurs". Willie wants to live independently, Max wants a platonic mistress, Laura is looking for yet another place to stay and Henk, the artist, puts things straight: he is looking for a new "Willie".
