Pornographia (La Pornographie)

Nazi occupied Poland in 1943. Two middle-aged men, Frederic and Witold, travel to the country estate of Hippolit, Witold's friend. They meet, among others, Henia and Karol. Both seem to be a perfect match for each other, yet there is no attraction between them. This angers Witold, who persuades Frederick to push the young people towards each other. Frederick accepts the "commission" and begins a secretive game in which Henia and Karol are cas as unconscious actors. Towards the end of the story we shall also learn some incredible and dramatic facts from Fredericks life.
