The dike and coastal landscape of Flanders, the sea, seagulls, sparse trees in the autumn light. Again and again René discovers the beauties of his native country. He takes comfort from the soundtrack of nature, from the transformation of landscape scenery which the changes of season bring. He admires the filigree structure of a leaf, or the coarse one of a tree bark. He is a collector, a voyeur of happy moments, a survivor who has retained the ability, like a child, to marvel at things. He Lives with his sister. From time to time the postman comes by, or his Blind friend Louis. One day René meets the photographer Philippe, who is documenting clouds for a meteorological institute. Philippe also makes a living of seeing, but he is a professional voyeur. Fascinated by René and his friends, Philippe begins to make a video about their lives.
