Premeditated murder (Ubistvo s predumisljajem)

Bulika is in her early twenties and comes from a family who were once well-to-do. Her mother lives in New Zealand and her father has found a new wife. Bulika is working on a book about her grandmother Jelena, who was a glittering personality in Belgrade society before the Second World War. One evening in the park Bulika meets Bogdan, a wounded soldier, who has not been able to find a bed at the overcrowded military hospital. Bulika takes him under her wing, offers him a place to stay and nurses him back to health. Their relationship grows from gentle teasing to warm friendship until finally they become lovers. Bulika begins to worry that Bogdan will soon be called to the front once more.
