In the popular quarter of a contemporary African city, curiosity gets the better of a young girl when she gets too close to the abandoned-car-cumwitchcraft-laboratory of Maman Thecla, the local doughnut vendor, she is transformed into a young albino man. Our hero quickly acquires the knack of hanging out with the rest of the local youths who encourage his relationship with the daughter of the polygamous policeman who is, himself, scheming to get rid of his first wife. There's never a dull moment in the Mozart Quarter.
