Hard-driving salesman Charlie Babbitt is caught in the middle of a current deal when he receives the message that his father has died in Cincinnati. He is shocked when he hears his father only leaves him his 1949 Buick Roadmaster convertible, while three million dollars have gone to an unnamed beneficiary. He finds out that this is the Walbrook home for the mentally handicapped, where his brother Raymond, an 'autistic savant' has resided ever since Charlie was two. Charlie decided he should take his brother back to Los Angeles and he claims his part of the inheritance...
