Reality Bites

Lelaina is the star graduate of her college year, but her first job is making coffee at the local TV station. A budding filmmaker, she vents her creative ambitions by captu­ring the lives of her roommates on video. Her cast includes Vickie, a Gap sales assis­tant who pastes her walls -with the 1970s kitsch and Troy, a happily unemployed cynic/grunge poet. Troy happens to be in love with Lelaina, a fact he has so far sup­pressed for fear of losing contact with her. He acts only when his object of desire starts dating Michael, a warm-hearted yup­pie who works for the MTV-styled channel In Your Face. His action throws up choices that could force all the slackers to confront adulthood.
