The main character in Ryslinge’s new comedy is video artist Lasse, who, along with four friends, runs a gallery in Copenhagen. Lasse is anxious to be at the forefront, always ready to seize any opportunity. In some respects, he directs his own life as if he were directing a play or a film, always trying to appear in complete control of the situation, whether it concerns his career or his virility. Instead of being true to his nature, he is constantly trying to impress. Lasse claims that he is an anarchist, but in reality, he covets expensive cars and famous friends. Like most people, he too longs for love, which he extorts from the promising artist Ditte. She falls in love with him, and he moves in. Due to his inferiority complex, Lasse becomes jealous of Ditte’s success and he is in constant fear that she will leave him…
