Sishi buhuo (Family Portrait)

Cao lives in Beijing with his wife and their 6-year-old son. One day, he gets a phone call from the Children's Welfare asking him to come down to identify 'his son'. It turns out that the child is the son he had with his ex-wife, whom he divorced eleven years ago without knowing she was pregnant. Now she has died. Cao does not know how to break the news to his wife so he puts the boy up in his studio for the time being. Back home, Cao is just about to tell her when she tells him that she is pregnant hut, in keeping with China' s single-child policy, will go for an abortion.
