The story of five women - five Cinderellas without princes - that pays particular attention to their feet or to their shoes. Adela has flat feet and owns a brothel. Leonardo, a wealthy businessman with worn down heels, is determined to teach her how to tango. Anita, Adela’s training-shoe-wearing daughter meets Joaquín (sporting white clogs on his feet), and has to cope with emotions that are completely alien to her. Isabel, who has tiny feet, is a rich idler who develops a particular fascination for her new chiropodist. Leire wears stolen shoes. At one time she was a promising shoe designer, but she gave up her career for the man of her life, Kun, who has long since lost interest in her. Maricarmen wears slippers when driving her deceased husband’s taxi. Can you tell a person’s character by the shoes they wear?
