The story of five women - five Cinderellas without princes - that pays particular attention to their feet or to their shoes. Adela has flat feet and owns a brothel. Leonardo, a wealthy businessman with worn down heels, is determined to teach her how to tango. Anita, Adela’s training-shoe-wearing daughter meets Joaquín (sporting white clogs on his feet), and has to cope with emotions that are completely alien to her. Isabel, who has tiny feet, is a rich idler who develops a particular fascination for her new chiropodist. Leire wears stolen shoes. At one time she was a promising shoe designer, but she gave up her career for the man of her life, Kun, who has long since lost interest in her.
