It's summer 1969 in New York City. Matty Dean, young, gay and full of dreams heads downtown. It's the time of the Vietnam War and the Apollo Moon Walk; homosexuality is still
illegal. It's also the summer of love - but not if you're gay. Stonewall, the wild haunt of
fabulous diva drag queens, is the hangout of young street queen, LaMiranda. Matty just
happens to turn up on a night the cops are on a routine harassment spree, and LaMiranda gets
defiant. At a gay campaign group, Matty meets Ethan who is confident and determined to fight
the system from within. Caught between two worlds - Ethan, who is aiming for social
acceptance, and the disreputable warmth of LaMiranda and the Stonewall gang - Matty must
choose.
