As a protest against her parent's unending quarrels, a seven-year-old girl escapes to her room and refuses to talk. She has her fish, her toys, her room and her imagination, but she won't talk.
When either parent addresses her, her lips remain sealed and we hear the replies from her
thoughts. The entire film is presented from her point of view. Everything takes place between
her room and her parent's bedroom, giving the spectator a fascinating look at the girl's hopes,
her rich fantasy world and her perception of adulthood through a marriage breakdown.
