The War Room

The War Room is the central decision-making headquarters of the Clinton campaign for the presidency. In this riveting film, we witness for nearly a year in intimate detail a crew of young people responsible for upsetting George Bush. The crew is headed by a genius organizer, James Carvelle (who, it is revealed, is romantically involved with the woman running the Bush campaign!). The War Room is a classic Pennebaker/Hegedus documentary using the techniques of cinéma vérité, which Pennebaker co-founded in the early sixties.
