Vinterbørn (Winterborn)

A film about girls in a maternity ward. The film portrays the solidarity among pregnant women from different backgrounds. The problems they share unite them for a time: they are all going to be mothers. The film is not supported by any external drama. It is the inner drama that provides the tension: What will my child be like? “Dramatic, moving and important… Describing a world unknown to most. Directed by Astrid Henning-Jensen, who was awarded prizes in Venice and Cannes, got an Oscar nomination in Hollywood and has received the Golden Medal from the Council of Europe.
