Walter is 55 and unemployed. He once held an important and powerful position. Now, he is increasingly unable to make sense of daily life or find meaning in his existence. The last ray of hope is his belief in a better world. He wants to fight for personal human rights; and is not opposed to the use of force. Walter cannot sleep. He roams the streets at night with two young thugs imposing law and order. But society does not need Walter or his benevolent work. And even the love of his good wife cannot comfort or save him, as the very foundations of his world crumble and fall around him.
