Winckelmanns Reisen

Ernst Winckelmann is a shampoo salesman werking in the district of Schleswig-Holstein. Envied by his friends for his professional independence, he is a slave to his work and to his past. His brief marriage to an expatriate East German girl seven years previously still occupies his dreams and longings. His young girlfriend Aline does not stand a chance in the face of these memories. Herselt torn between her problematic love for Ernst and concern about her father, she finds it hard to make a decision about accepting a job in a hotel in Ostend.
