The Dutch youth film Het Paard van Sinterklaas, that has its Belgian premiere at the Film Festival Ghent, has just won the price for best youth film at the Film festival of Utrecht. The childrens jury said the film was 'funny and moving'.
Mischa Kamps movie is coproduced by MMG and is financially supported by the Flemish Audiovisual Fund.
Het Paard van Sinterklaas tells the story of Winky Wong. She's six years old when she moves from China to The Netherlands with her mother. Once there, it's not easy to adjust to the language, the people and their habbits.
After the festival premiere, the film hits the screen on October 26th. There will also be a French version, so the film can be shown in the entire Benelux.
