Film Sound Seminar with Michel Schöpping

24 Sep 2012
The Film Sound Seminar, annually organized by Film Festival Ghent and the School of Arts (Hogeschool Gent), is proud to welcome Michel Schöpping. A logical choice, cause the Dutch sound designer looms large on this year's program. Martine Huvenne, film music teacher at Hogeschool Gent is once again the curator of the seminar.
Besides his much praised sound design, Schöpping is also a well-known film music composer, thanks to the wonderul soundtrack he wrote for Peter Brosens & Jessica Woodworth's 'Altiplano'. He was also the sound designer of several documentaries and television productions and directed two music documentaries. In the morning, Schöpping will talk avout his work as a sound designer for the films of Peter Brosens and Jessica Woodworth ('La Cinquième Saison' - Competition), Fien Troch ('Kid' - Competition), Felix van Groeningen (opening film 'The Broken Circle Breakdown') and Sergei Loznitsa ('In The Fog' - Official Selection).
