Flight restriction for Ghent's honoured guest

14 Oct 2010
Film music composer John Barry deeply regrets his absence from the concert held in his honour at Kuipke in Ghent and expresses his disappointment in a warm-hearted video addressed to the Ghent Film Festival and especially to Jacques Dubrulle and Marian Ponnet.
Due to an unforeseen medical condition, John Barry cannot be present in Ghent to accept the Lifetime Achievement Award. He has asked colleague David Arnold to accept the Award in his place, thus making the Bond circle complete as Barry has composed the score for the first Bond films and Arnold for the most recent (five) films. In the name of the Ghent Film Festival, Jacques Dubrulle and Marian Ponnet have wished John Barry good health.
