Open Call: 50x Animated AR Portraits

Selected artists will have the opportunity to exhibit their animated self-portraits as part of an AR art walk through the city of Ghent and an exhibition during Film Fest Gent (10-21 of october 2023). The self portraits will be distributed on posters all over the city of Ghent. When the poster is scanned by a mobile device, the artwork comes alive through AR technology. Your work will be viewed by a diverse audience of art enthusiasts, industry professionals, and film lovers.

Take Part

• This open call welcomes artists of all ages and genders, from emerging talents to established professionals.

• create a 5-30 second animation that showcases your own voice in the form of an animated self-portrait.

• Unleash your creativity and let your imagination soar! Express your identity, tell your story, and bring your animated self to life.

• No prior AR experience is necessary
