18 October 2007 Gustavo Santaolalla & Bajofondo Tango Club Since Gustavo Santaolalla was honoured as Discovery of the Year at the World Soundtrack Awards in 2004 his career has really taken off. His magnificent soundtracks for Brokeback Mountain and Babel have both won an Oscar and many more projects are on the way. In Ghent Gustavo and his Bajofondo Tango Club bring an intoxicating mix of tango and electronic music. More info & clips: www.bajofondotangoclub.com 19 October 2007 Alberto Iglesias in concert The Ghent International Film Festival is proud to announce a film music concert with Spanish composer Alberto Iglesias, long-time collaborator of director Pedro Almodóvar (Hable Con Ella, Todo Sobre Mi Madre, La Mala Educación, Volver). At the last edition of the World Soundtrack Awards Iglesias was acclaimed as Composer of the Year and he won the award for Best Original Soundtrack of the Year with the music he wrote for The Constant Gardener.
