Margot Amadei
Margot Amadei (Marseille, 2000) is a freelance festival programmer based in Paris. After being part of the youth jury at the Rencontres du Cinéma Sud-Américain de Marseille, she decided to work for films and festivals. While living in Rome in 2021, she started as a member of the selection committee for French-speaking short films at the Rome Independent Film Festival (RIFF). She is now head of the International Short Film Program. She also worked for the French independent distribution company Épicentre Films, releasing international feature films such as Wolf and Dog by Cláudia Varejaõ, When the waves are gone by Lav Diaz, Pornomelancolia by Manuel Abramovich or Last Dance by Delphine Lehericey. After living in Brussels and inevitably falling in love with Ghent, she is now thrilled to be part of the selection committee of Film Fest Gent from 2024. Margot studied International Affairs and Political Sciences at Sciences Po Aix and obtained her Master's degree in Cultural Management, Cultural Policies and Patronage with her thesis 'LGBTQ+ film festivals, between politics and aesthetics'.
