From February 25th till March 3rd, the project LOS ANGELES VICE VERSA will be presented in Ghent in theaters of Film-Plateau and Artcinema Off Off.

Today the nominees for the Joseph Plateau Awards 2003 were announced. All Belgian short and feature length films released in Belgian theatres between January 1st and December 31st, 2003 were eligible.

Ghent (May 28, 2004). In cooperation with SABAM (the Belgian ASCAP) and the Royal Belgian Film Archives, the Flanders Film Fest organizes the 3rd edition of the composition contest for young Belgian film music composers (under 36 years of age).

'Confituur', the second feature film by Lieven Debrauwer, will be the closing film of the 31st edition of the Flanders International Film Festival - Ghent. The film will be shown on October 16 after the presentation of the Festival awards and will be followed by a grand closing party.

It is with dismay that the Film Festival Ghent took cognizance of the passing away of film composer Elmer Bernstein.

'Omagh' will be the opening night film of the 31th Flanders International Film Festival - Ghent. The film about the bloody bomb blast in a busy shopping area of Omagh in North-Ireland, is written by Paul Greengrass and Guy Hibbert. Greengrass also directed 'Bloody Sunday' and 'The Bourne Supremacy'. Pete Travis directed and will introduce his movie at the festival.

The 31st Flanders Film Festival (5-16 october 2004) opens with Omagh by Pete Travis and closes with Confituur by Lieven Debrauwer. The pre-opening film is Elektra by Dave Mestdagh.
