Young Critics review: To a Land Unknown

Tijdens de Young Critics Workshop, georganiseerd in samenwerking met photogénie, op de 51ste editie van Film Fest Gent schrijven vijf aspirant-filmcritici (18-26 jaar) recensies van de festivalfilms. De workshop verloopt volledig in het Engels, dus ook de recensies zijn Engelstalig. De deelnemers worden begeleid door Savina Petkova en Michaël Van Remoortere.
Winners of short film competitions Film Fest Gent 2024

Goodbye First Love, Dreams About Putin and The World is My Idea are the winners of the short film competitions at the 51st edition of Film Fest Gent. On 13 October, the International Short Film Jury announced their picks during the Short Film Award Ceremony. Goodbye First Love by Shuli Huang received the Award for Best International Short. In the Competition for Belgian Student Short, Dreams About Putin by Nastia Korkia & Vlad Fishez was crowned Best Belgian Student Short. The festival audience chose The World is My Idea by Alexander Wolfgang Smadja as the winner of the Audience Award for Best Belgian Student Short.
